Don’t Let a DWI or DUI Ruin Your Holiday Fun

Avoid a DUI or DWI this year

The holidays are coming and soon we’ll be recovering from family gatherings, overeating, and overspending.  Thankfully, New Year’s is right around the corner to give us a fresh start, so some of us are already making plans to ring in the New Year with gusto.

For many, a New Year’s celebration would not be complete without a toast or two.  Remember that the time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s is prime time for a DUI because law enforcement officials are on high alert for drunk drivers.  The best plan for dealing with a DUI or DWI starts before you take the first drink.

If you plan to drink, then plan your evening from start to finish to avoid any need for driving.  Instead of risking the lives of you and others, or the incredible hassle of dealing a DUI or DWI, take a cab, stay put, or contact a sober/safe ride program from the list created by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

If you are arrested for DUI or DWI during the holiday period, call an experienced criminal defense lawyer for advice.  Monty Yolles, founder of THE YOLLES LEGAL GROUP, is an experienced Maryland DUI and DWI attorney who can help you consider all of your options and what you should expect.  Call Monty Yolles today at (301)670-0443 to discuss your case, or send an email inquiry to monty@yolleslaw.com.
