Night Out at the Masonic Lodge Ends in a Trip for Two to the Hospital

A night out at the local Masonic Lodge ended in a trip to the hospital for a Maryland couple. According to reports, Cedrick Lamar Fooks of Bridgeville, Delaware was involved in a fist fight with two people at the Masonic Lodge. After leaving the lodge, Fooks got into his truck and drove up and down the street until he saw them leaving. Fooks then allegedly drove toward them and swerved the truck into the man and woman, before fleeing the scene. The man and woman were transported to PRMC in Salisbury for non-life threatening injuries.

Every day in America people have disagreements. Disagreements can turn into heated arguments and on occasion arguments turn physical. Regardless of the circumstances, it is never acceptable to use your vehicle as weapon against a pedestrian.

Fortunately in this instance no lives were lost, but the victims may incur unnecessary expenses due to their injuries.  The driver was arrested and charged with first degree assault.  He should also be on the look out for a civil suit from the victims.
