Shooting Victims May Be Eligible for Compensation

by Monty Yolles on December 31, 2012

What is it about the holiday season that makes some people behave irrationally?  Maryland news outlets reported several shootings over the weekend in unrelated incidents. Any shooting related injury can be life threatening, and in fact at least one man was fatally wounded in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Baltimore.

Arguments happen all over the world on a daily basis, but simply being angry doesn’t justify shooting another person. Gunshot wounds, if not fatal, can leave a person permanently injured or disfigured. In addition to criminal charges and jail time, a person guilty of assault with a deadly weapon may owe restitution to his or her victim.

If you or someone you know has been the victim of a shooting, call The Yolles Law Group to discuss your situation. We can advise you of your options and tell you whether you may be eligible to receive compensation for your injuries.
